How Disposable baby diapers are made
Comfort, absorbency, and skin protection these are key point when parents choose baby diapers to their babies. But have you ever wondered how these diapers made?
Nowadays, diapers are usually produced highly automated and efficient process that transforms raw materials into soft, absorbent, and waterproof diapers that keep babies dry and comfortable.
Let us take a closer look at how diaper manufacturers China produce millions of diapers per month--and how does Elintree, as private label diapers manufacturers, help clients bring their own designs to life.
Disposable baby diapers are made through many steps that involves preparing raw materials, forming the absorbency core, assembling the diapers layers and adding elastic and fasteners.
All the above process is highly automated, utilizing specialized machinery to ensure consistency and high quality.
Step 1:Preparing Raw Materials:
Non-woven fabrics:
Will be used for backsheet and top layers of the diapers,Providing softness and breathability.
Fluff pulp
This is key materials for traditional absorbency core. It processed to create a soft, fluffy layer and made from wood pulp.
SAP (Super absorbent polymer):
SAP is a granular material, it’s super absorbent polymer that can absorb hug amounts of liquid.
We cooperate with SAP suppliers such as Sumitomo, LG, and SANDIA.
SAP paper: Untra-thin diapers are made of SAP paper, replacing the traditional structure of fluff pulp+SAP. It’s more breathable and comfortable.
Elastic materials are used for waistbands and leg cuffs to ensure a sung and comfortable fit.
Closure systerms: Such as adhesive tape or velcro: These are used for fastening and adjustment.
Raw materials are key point for sensitive skin diapers, to skin protection, Elintree choose the best quality materials for diapers to reduce the risk of irritation.
STEP 2: Forming the Absorbent core:
Absorbent core is the heart of a diapers. This is formed by blending fluff pulp and SAP. Then shaping it into thin, consistent layers, this mixture is compressed, dired, and cut to size. The result is a core that offer superior absorbency and lock liquid in--a must -have feature for waterproof diapers.
Above process is for traditional absorbency core: mixing with fluff pulp and SAP. But for ultra-thin SAP paper absorbency core is more easy. It’s made of non-woven+paper +sap ,without fluff pulp .can be cut directly to size.

STEP 3: Assembling the layers
The absorbency core is sandwiched between the top sheet (non-woven facbric) and backsheet( compress with PE and non-woven fabric).Elastic elements are attached to the legs cuffs and waistband .
SEPT 4: Cutting and finishing
Once the diaper is assembled, it’s cut into shape using high-speed die -cutting machines.
SEPT 5: Quality control and packing
Diapers go through multiple inspections before they leave the factory. Cameras and sensors automatically check for size, shape, alignment, and imperfections. Only after passing these rigorous inspections are diapers folded, stacked, and packaged for shipping.

This consistent quality is one reason why global brands choose to work with Elintree. We allow companies to customize everything from design to functionality to packaging while maintaining strict quality control.
